Marcel Pitton joined Denver's Brown Palace Hotel and Spa as Managing Director in November 2005.

Prior to The Brown Palace, Pitton managed the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida. Previous Four-Star experience also includes management positions at The Camberley Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, and the Rosewood Hotels in Dallas. In addition, Pitton spent eight years with Swissair Swissotel Management including posts with its hotels in New York, Bangkok, Chicago and Atlanta. He began his North American career in food and beverage with Four Seasons Hotels in Houston.

A Swiss native, Pitton hails from a hotelier family. Both his parents and grandparents operated hotels in Switzerland. He graduated from the Hotel Commerce School for Tourism in Bern.

Pitton is actively involved in various Denver organizations and serves as a board member of Saint Joseph Hospital, the REACH Foundation, Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, Metro Denver Hotel Association, and is on the President's Table of Johnson and Wales.
